Loyola Higher Secondary English Medium School, Kunkuri is well known for imparting quality education, especially in the science stream. The credit for this fame goes to our expert science teachers and the available sophisticated fine laboratory. We are living in a world of science and technology. So, the need to understand scientific concepts and theories is extremely great. In response to this dire need, facilities for the study of physical sciences have been given great extension in both the higher and lower centres of education. Our school laboratories are located on the first & second floor of the school building. It comprises three separate halls specified for three main branches i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Each hall is quite spacious to accommodate more students at a time. The halls are well ventilated and have a very good lighting arrangement. These are well electrified to meet the students, demands. The system is designed to cater to individual and group work. Our laboratory is equipped with the most modern, standard, and sophisticated equipment. The apparatuses are available in abundance. The chemicals and specimens available are always fresh and latest. Every scientific concept is clarified in the laboratory by our highly educated teachers. Occasionally, expert scholars and scientists are invited to demonstrate the latest concepts. It has helped in developing a scientific approach among young scholars.

MATHEMATICS LAB

Loyola Higher Secondary English Medium School, Kunkuri has a Mathematics Lab. It is a place where students can learn and explore various mathematics concepts and verify various mathematical facts and theorems using a variety of activities and it is well equipped with necessary kits and tools. It provides an opportunity for the students to understand and internalize the basic mathematical concepts through concrete objects and situations. It provides greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning and becoming autonomous learners.

COMPUTER CUM LANGUAGE LAB

[INTEGRATED WITH LANGUAGE LEARNING EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE]

Well-designed and integrated with language learning equipment, run by a well-educated and qualified faculty, with one-on-one access, which means there is one computer for each child. Pre-primary kids learn words through PowerPoint presentations and innovative software. We have invested in new ERP software which would further raise teaching-learning-working at Loyola School to contemporary technological standards. There are 45 computers in our labs currently. They are state-of-the-art with multimedia, most of them with 17″ LCD monitors that are easier on eyes, generate less heat, and consume less power thereby keeping the classroom atmosphere comfortable for children. We use our own LAN with Windows XP for teaching-learning, documentation, and presentations. Currently, we can claim 1:18 as the ‘student to computer ratio’ on campus.
